Attorney Matthew J. Richburg, Litigation Manager at KLF, spoke on the Wisconsin Consumer Act at the November 3, 2010, annual Wisconsin Collectors Association's Fall Conference held in Milwaukee. Attorney David A. Ambrosh also spoke at the conference. His topic covered strategies and techniques for successfully collecting judgments in Wisconsin.
Attorney Richburg was also a member of a panel of speakers at the Commercial Law League of America's (www.clla.org) Eastern Region meeting in New York City on November 13. The program was entitled "Picking up the Pieces: Experiences and Tips When Your Firm is Asked to Pick up the Claims and Caseload of a Defunct Agency or Law Firm."
Director of Operations, Brenda Majewski, was a featured speaker for "Managing Accounts Receivable - Why it is the Lawyer's Responsibility" for the State Bar of Wisconsin's Developing Attorney Business Skills Webcase Series on November 9. She co-presented with Attorney Mark Slate of Slate Law Offices. The program highlighted best practices for billed to paid invoices and is part of a partnership of business seminars presented by the State Bar of Wisconsin and the Wisconsin Association of Legal Administrators. Majewski is a three time past president of the Wisconsin Association of Legal Administrators.
